I’m following leechbabe in her Second Hand Saturday theme posts.

Instead of showing off Op Shop finds though I though I’d show off some of the hand me down toys that the kids have.

The kid’s Oma kept almost all of The Other Half’s toys from when he was a kid.  The Other Half grew up in Canada, but almost all of his toys came from Germany as gifts from his Oma and aunts, or bought when The Other Half lived in Germany briefly as a boy.

Now that we live in Australia, that means that all the toys below have been to 3 continents.

Here are the construction type toys that we have:

The Boy and The Girl love the Tap Tap set.  In this picture they have made a person, Santa with his sleigh a christmas tree and presents, and a fish.

It has been great to help practice fine motor skills.

This is Baufix.   Lots of screws, bolts, nuts, wheels and beams with the tools to go with them.  The kids love making cars, buses and abstract pieces with them.  Unfortunately the motor is not working at the moment, but the Other Half is hoping to fix it soon.

This is Constructs (not sure of the spelling).  Lots of plastic squares and triangles with connector sticks that slide onto them.   The Boy and The Girl make lots of cool buildings, airplanes, robots, etc with them.
